Economic growth of any country depends on the per capita energy consumption of that country. Day-by-day, the demand for electricity is increasing worldwide. No system can operate without electrical power. Electricity is a part and parcel of human life.

The analogous of various systems such as mechanical systems, electronic systems, and structural systems can be made into electrical systems and analysis can be carried out with electrical systems. The performance of systems can be determined with the help of electrical circuit analysis, which plays an important role in all types of engineering problems. Generally, it is the basic course for majority of the engineering disciplines. The principles of electrical circuits and machines have been dealt comprehensively in this book.

The main objective of this book is to help the service course students such as mechanical, CSE, and IT in understanding the electrical circuit and the concepts of machines. This book is intended as a one-semester course, a core subject of study in many branches of engineering such as Electrical and Electronics, Electronics and Communication, Applied Electronics, Instrumentation and Control, etc., at UG level in almost all Indian Universities.

  • This book is designed as per AICTE syllabus.
  • The content presented in the book is simple and straightforward and its organization into chapters is logical and sequential.
  • Concepts have been discussed with a focus on clarity and coherence, supported by illustrations for better comprehension.
